FRUIT LOAF HEAVEN


So I've been known to have eating habits up there with the strangest. Nothing hot in temperature (ever), Messina gelato for dinner (on a regular basis), sashimi (for months on end) and pesto on everything (for a week). This, however, is here to stay. I've found heaven, and apparently it's best served on a plate for breakfast every morning.

Toast two slices of sourdough fruit loaf, smear with ricotta, top with fresh figs, drizzle over with honey and then all you're missing is the French coffee. This is so simple but tastes even better on Sunday morning sitting in a silk gown reading the papers.
