BROTHER'S PARADISE

After thinking for months that Fratelli Fresh and Fratelli Paradiso were one in the same and being continuously confused by the advice to try the delectable petit fours available at the latter I finally found Potts Point's other Italian paradise. I feel like people get mixed up by this Fratelli double-up more often than not and I urge anyone else out there to find there way around this because it's seriously worth it.

No fruit or vege's rustically displayed here, it's sleek, modern and dimly lit with cool waitstaff wearing crisp white aprons and Rittenhouse uniforms to boot. The up-market atmosphere may seem a little intimidating at first but as the charming italian waiter recites the menu (which is all in italian) and you fail to understand most of what he is saying, you cant help but laugh at yourself and relax in this process. A glass of delicious Italian wine also helps.

Next they bring you some of the most delightful freshly baked mini-ciabatta that you try to resist soaking in olive oil and devouring way too much of to leave room for your meal. I chose handmade orecchiette with seafood in a red sauce. We also tried Caprese salad with the freshest buffalo mozzarella and finished this carb-assault off with a highly intoxicating affogatto and devilishly creamy tirimisu.

The most delicious Italian food I have had in Sydney so far, mind you I haven't made it out west to try some of the authentic joints my Italian friends have recommended. Fratelli Paradiso is definitely up there in my favorites.
