We are so so sad we hadn't eaten at Miss Chu until last week. Honestly, until you try their dumplings/rice paper rolls/duck pancakes/everything else you haven't lived. Not to mention the cucumber and coconut lassies. So yum! Plus we love that they are 99% wheat free and MSG free. Literally a hole in the wall, what they lack in space and indoor seating they make up for with everything else. If that isn't your style, Miss Chu also does extensive catering.
Soooo the hottest one hundred was revealed yesterday and, as per usual, it is pretty ehhh/predictable (well, extra predictable this year considering we already knew what was number 1). At least it isn't as disastrous as their 'hottest one hundred of all time' attempt earlier in 2009 (Rage Against the Machine? Hilltop Hoods? Not a single female? For real??)
Anyway, I'm going to disregard thousands of Australians' opinions and give y'all my hottest fourteen...
1. Lust For Life - Girls 2. Feel It All Around - Washed Out 3. Home - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros 4. Roslyn - Bon Iver + St Vincent 5. Blood - The Middle East 6. Sleepyhead - Passion Pit 7. Lets Go Surfing - The Drums 8. My Girls - Animal Collective 9. Young Adult Fiction - The Pains of Being Pure at Heart 10. Empire State of Mind - Jay-Z 11. Fake Blues - Real Estate 12. Drugs - The Black Lips 13. Lisztomania - Phoenix 14. Dominos - The Big Pink
"On his new album, the producer and DJ, who lives in Berlin and Paris, claims: music slumbers in all matter; any sound, even silence, is already music. The mission, then, must be to render audible what is unheard and unheard of: black noise, a frequency that is inaudible to man. Black noise often presages natural disasters, earthquakes or floods; only some animals perceive this “calm before the storm.” Black noise is something archaic and earthy. Some tracks on Pantha du Prince’s third album—the first to be released on Rough Trade—are based on field recordings and improvisations produced in collaboration with Joachim Schütz (Arnold Dreyblatt Trio) and Stephan Abry (Workshop) in the Swiss Alps.It turned out that the house in which they lived while staying there stood next to a pile of debris formed by a landslide that had buried an entire village. The cover of Black Noise recalls this history of loss...Pantha du Prince is still a Romantic Conceptualist. And the message we hear him murmuring: beauty is possible even after the disaster; where there was debris and noise, there shall be great art" Aram Lintzel, Berlin, Autumn 2009.
When we were told Good God would now be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday - we had reservations about whether they would pull it off. But, they're doing it. The diversity of nights, and more importantly music, lately has been nothing we will tire of soon. Jimmy Sing and his magic helpers know how to provide good times, all round.
Longrain has been a favourite of ours for quite some time now. However, it wasn't until this week that we tried the rainbow trout. Topped with ginger watermelon, it is amazing! Definitely our menu pick (combined with other dishes of course) and washed down with a ping pong cocktail.
Just like this cute little fashion bunny Fifi Lapin we too are in love with the latest Givenchy collections. Ready-to-Wear and Pre Fall are both delicious.
We're not Bondi locals, but anyone can tell you beach burrito is seriously good for a frozen margarita and calorie fest after a day swimming in the ocean. Our favourite is the garden ensalata burrito, a great vegetarian option full of mexican rice, three cheeses, carrot, tomato, coriander, cucumber and guacamole. Time to get back in the water and do some more laps.
By far the best coffee in Sydney! Great service and great vibe. Plus, all coffees are at least one of the following: organic, rainforest alliance, fairtrade and/or forest friendly. We're hooked and have trouble starting our day without it.

Bikram Yoga - I'm officially hooked. 90 minutes of toxin releasing yoga feels like it does 90 worlds of difference.Yes, it's hot (40.5 degrees and 40% humidity), but you come to love it. My new favourite way to work up a sweat...Well almost. As an introductory offer you get the first 10 days for $17 and if you sign up three more people during that period it turns into another 10 free days. After my first session I came out feeling stretched out and less stressed out. Promising cleansing, increased endurance and flexibility, I'm in it for the long haul.
The best book I have read all Summer. In fact, the best book I have read any Summer. Plath's only novel she ever wrote, The Bell Jar is well worth reading as she poetically explores a young girl's journey from college scholarships to an internship in New York to the depths of a 1950s asylum.

This stick on vase is so cute and such a great idea to brighten up your home with some nature conveniently placed anywhere you like.
These cupcake shaped containers are perfect for your pooch, plants or just for a kooky storage option.
The desk is made from different types of wood and has three compartments that open for storage in two different ways. It is designed to fit into a small apartment space.
My mystic tea reading from the Observatory Hotel was quite strange. It was about 6 months ago but only now is it fascinating me as all the things predicted by the tea reader are starting to come true. For $89 you get a delicious high tea, moet and 20 minutes with a psychic who strangely examines your cup and tells you your future!

So... I'm sure EVERYONE already knows about them and I'm sure they are surely passe already, but we are currently living for a negroni (or two) before dinner. This bitter-sweet cocktail is refreshing, cleansing and really easy to make.
one part gin one Part sweet vermouth one part Campari
My new Canon S90 Power Shot camera is my new partner in crime. With photographer friends I always feel like an amateur but this little baby gives you beautiful shots on an auto setting, not to mention it's handy small size. It also has manual settings for the more experienced (maybe I will get there one day). I am looking forward to taking it on my trips abroad next month!
So a year or so ago I thought it would be an amazing idea to cut my hair like a boy. It was fun for a little while but then trying to grow my hair back became a nightmare. When someone suggested hair extensions the names Britney Spears and Paris Hilton immediately sprung to mind, but after I visited my fairy godmother Remington at Brad Ngata I was a satisfied convert. I was convinced when friends kept telling me they couldn't believe my shoulder length locks had grown so quickly, and possibly had them fooled until this very confession.
